In another jab at Khan, who has a black handlebar mustache, and his apparent choice to keep general manager Trent Baalke, a number of supporters have altered their Twitter image to a clown with a mustache. The hashtag #FireBaalk was created by the organization, and it was trending on Twitter for a spell last week.

Although interim head coach Darrell Bevell and quarterback Trevor Lawrence are unfamiliar with the movement, they understand and empathize with the fans’ grievances since they, too, are irritated by their team’s 2-14 record.
Lawrence added, “I think I’ll start by saying I understand how the fans who have been Jacksonville supporters for a long time [feel].” “I’m sure that wasn’t easy for you.” I wouldn’t say everything for them, but this is something that is really important to them, and they’ve been a fan since the Jags began. I understand the dissatisfaction since we hoped to win a lot more games. But for now, we’re just focused on going out and winning this season.”

The fans’ dissatisfaction and outrage stems from Khan’s choice to keep Baalke, who helped develop the team that went 3-29 in the previous two seasons, according to an NFL Network report. In the decade that Khan has owned the team, there have been nine seasons with ten or more defeats.
It’s also about the Urban Meyer saga, which has seen him hire four head coaches since purchasing the franchise in November 2011, fail to totally clean house when hiring Doug Marrone in 2017 and Meyer in 2021, and play one home game in London each year.
It’s also about the team’s poor per-game scoring output, a 20-game losing streak (the second-longest in NFL history) that spanned Week 2 in 2020 through Week 6 in 2021, and becoming a laughingstock.
As a result, some fans will be wearing a red nose, clown mask, over-sized shoes, and wig on Sunday. It’s being dubbed a #KhlownOut.
“I mean, I have no idea what they’re talking about,” Bevell said, “but I appreciate their aggravation.” “There’s a lot of dissatisfaction in this building.” The players are upset, and we, too, are dissatisfied with what’s going on and want things to improve.”
